The math gets us to the hard truth, there are will shortly be an additional 710,257 pending EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant visa applicants waiting for visa availability (not including any EB-2 NIW direct filings.  Added to the current number that means we have over 1,800,000 million people in our EB-2 and EB-3 employment categories, many of whom are already working in the US, whose US employers have proved they are not taking jobs from US Citizens, or are persons whose immigration is in the National Interest.  Even if we lifted the per country limit, the wait translates to a 20 year wait for everyone filing a prevailing wage today, with tens of thousands more being added each year.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

So the point is, if you file today, you're screwed either way?

You need to read the whole thing and of course it depends if your are ROW or not. There has been a push to remove the Country limits and I thought it was interesting that would result in 20 year wait for everybody.

Often we see asked how retrogression is going and this article gives a pretty good guide.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

I get his point, but the math is not fully correct.

I agree times for India and China will at the very least continue to increase, but data from the last 10 years on EB 2 and 3 for ROW is very clear and unless EBs submission double, ROW will only be  about 18 month delayed, maybe 24 months felay at any given time.

Don't  follow prey of fear mongers, in Oct 2023, New visas will.be available, and I did the math for EB2 using last 10 years data and should become Current, or at the very least PD should reach Feb/Mar 2023, remaining like that for 3 to 4 months and then retrogression similar to what we saw in the last 8 months, the only caveat here is premium.processing for EB2, which could retrogress things further for anyone with a PD after Feb 2023 as a higher number of I 140s are pending.

Let's wait until Oct 23 and see what happens.
