  1. That's VERY pessimistic. 10 years? Come on. The new fiscal year is about to hit, and it's definitely going to bring good news - if not CURRENT, at least close to it. You're bringing the poor guy down for no reason. The expected wait time is so high because of the retrogression, but that has no bearing on reality to be honest, since it gets pretty much reset every fiscal year. 3 years is much more realistic than 5, let alone 10!
  2. So the point is, if you file today, you're screwed either way?
  3. I'm waiting, but my visa is EB-3 Unskilled and my PD (November 6th 2020) is not current 😕
  4. Awesome news buddy! Congratulations, good luck, and 2023 will indeed be great!
  5. If your visa is linked to a job offer (AKA not EB2-NIW), the company has to pay a hefty fee to drop the process, so I highly doubt they would just kick you to the curb.
  6. Yeah pretty much. RIP to that dream lol
  7. I meant to edit the last post and I ended up quoting it, sorry.
  8. https://www.uscis.gov/green-card/green-card-processes-and-procedures/visa-availability-priority-dates/adjustment-of-status-filing-charts-from-the-visa-bulletin looks like we're using the Filing Charts, so we're current!!! @Boiler can you confirm? I ask you since you're so knowledgeable in this, so to me it looks like we're good. Also, is this specifically only for Adjustment of Status? We're staying our home country and getting interviewed, does this also apply to us?
  9. Yep, ours is 11/06, so it's probably going to be a few more months for us, if not the entire year. Talk about a downer.
  10. What is your category, if you don't mind me asking?
  11. Yeah she has over 5 years of experience. I guess that's the case here. What are the possibly valid reasons?
  12. Hey folks. I saw some stuff about USCIS recommending interfiling EB3 processes to EB2 to have it be processed faster. I asked my lawyers about this months ago, and they told me it was not possible. A few weeks ago, I saw this again, and I read that it is indeed possible, and again my lawyers say it's not possible. The point is, is it possible? The position my wife was hired for did not require several years of experience or anything, even though she does have experience and a bachelor's degree in, if it helps. Thanks in advance.
  13. Yeah, our case got DQed just as the regression hit, so we never got the interview scheduled unfortunately. But it's ok, nothing we can do, right?
  14. The Visa Bulletin is likely coming any day between Sep. 10th and Sep. 15th. I check https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/legal/visa-law0/visa-bulletin.html every day. The category HAS retrogressed in the past, but if I recall correctly, never as aggressively (as much) as it did now. There is no way to predict when it will be current. The best advice I can give you would be something like "be patient, enjoy your day-to-day", that's what I'm trying to do to not get taken over by anxiety lol. It's coming, all we have to do is relax and not go crazy.
  15. Wow, that's crazy. Premium Processing was paid for, as far as I'm aware, but I don't know the specifics. I thought September 10 was your interview date. Guess you got lucky!
  16. What is your priority date? If I recall correctly, we share pretty much the same circumstances, both EB3 Other Workers, ROW and whatnot, but unfortunately my priority date is November 2020, so it's not current.
  17. Not quite. I was DQed super fast, it was something like two weeks. Unfortunately, my category (EB3 - Other Workers, ROW) retrogressed to May 8th 2019, and my priority date is in November 2020. Soooo... bit more waiting I guess. Hopefully it will move forward in October.
  18. There's no way to know. If your category is current, you can just wait patiently.
  19. What is your category? Professional, Skilled or Unskilled? The Unskilled category is not current at the moment (priority date of May 8th 2019), but all others are current.
  20. The August Visa Bulletin came out - still 08 May '19 for EW.
  21. My priority date is November 2020, and I just got my DQ email today. Would you say it's likely that it gets picked up by then, since it's DQed?
  22. Eh, I think it's unlikely to be honest. Won't even get my hopes up, no point.
