Yep they say that dont they. Mine is blank on back as well and whilst I didnt have to submit mine for the I-130 I still sent it along with the blank page  Crazy hu. Have seen the odd post in the old site of RFE's requesting both sides when only the front was submitted.......so they sent it :P Things dont always seem to make sense

I know it's blank..... but when you copy it, doesn't it say something?

The one Dave has says something when photocopied..... it says on his original one: WARNING: Original document has a multicolored background on special white security paper and the great seal of the State of Indiana on back that turns from orange to yellow when rubbed. Original document has hidden void that appears when photocopied.

We sent the original with the I129F btw.

i copied both sides of mine w/dark (dark-dark-dark) exposure, so the wrinkles and edges and the reverse side of the embossed seal were slightly visable on the BLANK back side of my birth certificate. seems stupid, but they ask for both sides, so they got both sides. :P

Unless you live a parallel universe that has some strange laws of physics, your BC will have a back. It may be blank but I would photocopy the blankness anyways.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

My certified birth certificate has no back. I noticed it says to copy both front and back. Am I missing something or are some birth certificates just front?

My fiancee's didn't have a back either. However, it does say they want front and back. Not wanting an RFE, we copied the front and back, and added a note on the back copy stating that the original was blank.

BTW, you can get away with using copies of:

  • Citizenship Certificate (if naturalised)
  • Passport, all pages

in lieu of BC.

For the petition, I used (copies of) my Citizenship Certificate (as the passport WOULD have generated issues--having only the US re-entry stamp, no visas) and all pages of Pras' passport--no BC from either side.

I sent a white paper for that back side, and I wrote "The back side of my ... is blank" and I signed. Haha, looks stupid.
