Can I add a cosponsor after i130 approval?

Hi My friend petitioned for her mother from Mexico and its approved but she didn't realize that she couldn't claim the money her husband makes as her income. she is a stay at home mom. Can she add her husband or another relative as a cosponsor at this stage? Thank you.

her mom is in mexico. from what I understand....she filed with her as the only sponsor and it got approved as is but now theynwant her to submit proof of her income

These are ALWAYS submitted after petition approval.  Your friend needs to submit the additional affidavit of support with proper supporting documentation.

So just guessing here based on the lack of information:

 

So I-130 is approved, and now NVC wants I-864. I-864 was submitted using household income. NVC wants more info. 
 

Possibly I-864a from the husband is the way to go as @Dashinka suggests, but it is hard to say.
