Scintillating Tuesday repartee, yawn man.

-------

Thrilling Tuesday report, see man:

Hip initially hurt less than ever, effective HSM man.

Got Mini-B. breakfasted, groggy we man.

Went back for siesta #1, fairly successful zzz we man.

Had doc appointment, uneventful and routine man.

Got lunch from contiguous Subway*, ingest at casa we man.

*WUOC + gift card, financially savvy we man.

Awful news is that this Subway's last day was today, surprise man.  :(

They had only a good lunch business, dead after 2 p.m. man.

They'd tried to remedy this but finally decided to close down, sigh man.

Now the nearest one is not too far but hard to get to and often out of the way, sigh man.

The next-nearest one is run/staffed by incompetents, :ranting: man.

We will not let this hamper our use of coupons or gift cards, financially determined we man.

Siesta #2 was successful, zzz we man.

Miu was exceptionally quiescent all day, quiescent miu man.

Hip continued to do quite well, thank the Great Sky-Chimp man.

Din-din was weenies + beans, ingest Two Guys man.

We suggested to Mini-B. & ex-Mrs.-T-B. that their new orange miu should be named Naranjito, "little orange man" man.

Mini-B. says that he's already responding to his shelter-given name, bummer man.

Ex-Mrs.-T-B. says that Naranjito is a small town near Guayaquil, Ecu man.

It was Parent Night at Mini-B.'s hyskool, attend we man.

Ex-Mrs.-T-B. was supposed to pick us up, less parking hassle man.

She was nonresponsive, go by ourself we man.

She showed up later, looking tired ex-she man man.

Skoolteechurs spent most of their Many (2x2x2 +2)-minute sessions yakking about themselves, :ranting: man.

Most of them assign in-class hoamwurk, only remedy against A.I. man.

The problem is that parents have no way to know how well or poorly their stoodent is doing until grades are posted, lock barn door after horse is thieved man.  :girlwerewolf2xn:

Our hip was completely hosed after a couple of stair-flights, ow ow OW OW OW and :ranting: man.

We could barely make it to the T-B.-mobile or walk within the casa, :ranting: man.

Whoever invented stairs should be exhumed and murdered in cold blood, :ranting:  :ranting:  :ranting: we man.

No party with the rubias tonight, no cavort we man.

Mama T-B. needs us on Wednesday, comply we man.

And that was/is our thrilling Tuesday, report we man.

Scintillating Wednesday repartee, yawn man.

Thrilling Wednesday report, see man:

Mini-B. awoke late, rush wee man man.

We were dog-tired, caffeination of no effect man.

We started getting phone calls from & about Mama T-B. at Many (2+2+1) a.m., si man.

Mama T-B. had an overnight health (comfort) issue, night crew couldn't help man.

Medical records were poisoned by the illegitimate-female-child head nooser, i-f-c she man.

We had to out-straighten everything, sigh man, which we did very firmly, si man.

Siesta #1 occurred between Many (2x2x2) and Many (2x2x2 +2+1) a.m. and the phone calls, intermittently zzz we man.

It seemed that we got the good noosers on the case and almost everything out-straightened, finally man.

Lunch was onecan of Aldi chili, ingest we man.

We intended to go see Mama T-B. but it began monsooning, rarely seen such rain output man.

We did Internet tasks for Mama T-B. and finally took siesta #2, zzz we man.

This was non-Two-Guys eve, sigh man.

Din-din was one-Many'rd of the bag of Costco rotisserie chicken that Mini-B. didn't like, ingest we man.

Upon Mini-B.'s return, movie night was 2 Breaking Bad episodes, watch Two Guys man.

Two bowls of Costco popcorn were consumed, ingest Two Guys man.

Weekly tally = Many (2x2x2 +1) bowls, one to reach quota man.

No party with the rubias tonight, no cavort we man.

Must visit Mama T-B. on Thursday, plan we man.

We are ....you guessed it, down in the Keys again.  Holiday weekend coming up so we took off early and are not going back to work until Tuesday the 9th!

We are so over this thing called "work" and we just don't give a damn about our patients anymore.  OK, that was a little harsh, but we are just about ready to end this part of our life.  Will be done just prior to the end of this year and then we are officially "old farts".  Even more funny, on the way down yesterday we stopped at a McDonald's to let the dogs out and pee.  Decided to eat and ordered a chicken value meal and a wrap.  Wife and I shared the fries and the one drink. The bill for the two of us came to just over $8.  I told her we are getting to be just like all the other old folks in Florida.  Wife said she wouldn't sit with me if I ordered a senior coffee.

The SUV was packed to the gills.  Besides the usual supplies and cooler, had the two dogs and a large dresser for the bedroom.  Also had to find room for a new temporary addition.  A tortoise!  Wife bought that to give to her grandson for his birthday.  I guess that's better than the cat she was originally planning to give.  I'm going to have to seek help from @Ontarkie on proper care of a tortoise.  It's a very young Russian Dwarf tortoise.  Hopefully the family will take decent care of him.

I went bald but I kept my comb.  I just couldn't part with it.

I'm not expert on Russian Tortoises, but I don't think dwarf tortoises exist. Russians tortoises are escape artistes. This is the forum I learned update care information. Stay off of Fb and YT for care information. Most of those places have been regurgitating the same out dated information and it does more harm then good.

https://tortoiseforum.org/  Now they can sometimes come across harsh and the overload of information can be overwhelming on there but if whoever takes care of it puts the time in they will have a very happy tortoise experience.

Where did your wife get it from and how big is it? Most Russian tortoises in the pet stores are wild caught and at least 5 yrs old. Care for a baby is quite different then an adult.

Good thig about a Russian tortoise is they are hardy and can live indoors in any state unlike some others.

Wife got this Russian tortoise from a breeder here in FL.  He(?) is fairly small, a little less than 2 inches in diameter.  I'm doing some research and learning as much as I can.  This little one burrows and hides away during the day but after work we get him out in the sun and warmth and he comes around.  Loves spring mix salad and dark green romaine lettuce.  He has small pellets of food but doesn't show any interest in that.

That's great so he needs a closed enclosure it retains heat and humidity the best.

Check out that forum I linked. It will give you the most up to date care guides for the little one. Also they have plenty of pictures to build your own closed enclosure. Or you can buy some PVC enclosures. They are really nice and for a small one like yours much more practical.
