Anyone have an idea how long it takes to get the actual visa after it is approved? I'm trying to find some good deals on plane tickets for bringing back Aynur. I found some leaving April 1st or 2nd for $600 to Istanbul but my work wouldn't let me off for 2 weeks so I'm stuck paying at least $950 now. :(

Greenmind,

It take only 2 days or so to get your visa in the mail after it is approved. I haven't been visiting VJ as much as lately so I don't know what stage y'all are at now. If you haven't gone through the interview yet, don't count on the Ankara embassy approving the visa the first go round. Especially if you get the bitter fat lady. She's been requesting joint sponsors from everyone and so far I don't know anyone who was below the guidelines that would dictate needing one. Just an FYI to keep in mind. You don't want to buy a plane ticket that is non-refundable. My husband contacted a travel agent there in Turkey, they can usually get better rates there, and had her hold a block of dates so that he wouldn't get screwed on airfare.

Anyhow, Good Luck.

**UPDATE**

Here is our newest email regarding Johns corrected Green Card and the I-90 we filed. Please not if you should ever have to go thru this that the I-90 was never truly traceable on my side. I called to find out where it was and they did tell me that it was received and is being processed but that was about it.

Also we did not send in passport photos because the directions said not too, we would have to get biometrics taken again....{{who truly knows}} only the New Green Card will tell the truths. I will keep you posted...Will totally be shocked if John receives it with his photo on it...:wacko::blink::o:huh:

Gotta love USCIS and the most efficient processing of Government procedures...

oh Sh@#!...you know what I mean!

Best Wishes,

Peace to All,

Debra

{{gota say sorry to anyone who is offended}} :D:D

The President, First Lady and ####### Cheney were flying on Air Force One. George looked at Laura, chuckled and said, "You know, I could throw a $1,000 bill out of the window right now and make somebody very happy."

Laura shrugged her shoulders and replied, "I could throw ten $100 bills out of the window and make ten people very happy."

Cheney added, "That being the case, I could throw one hundred $10 bills out of the window and make a hundred people very happy."

Hearing their exchange, the pilot rolled his eyes and said to his co-pilot, "Hell, I could throw all of three of them out the window and make 56 million people very happy." :o

Peace,

Debbie
