Medical Exam and Vaccine Questions - Morocco [merged threads]

Hello,

we are waiting for our interview letter and planning for the upcoming medical exam.  We've tried to contact the three doctors in Casablanca, but no one will answer the phone or their email (although we tried to reach them during Ramadan--maybe they are visiting family?). My questions are:

 

1) How does one get in contact with these doctors???

2) Can we schedule an exam before we receive the interview letter since they are running behind?

3) Will the doctor accept the Sinopharm Covid vaccine or will my husband have to get another series of vaccines? The reason I ask is because the only things I could find online about it was a statement that the US accepts the World Health Organization emergency vaccines, but Sinopharm wasn't on there.

Unfortunately those doctors are terrible when it comes to answering phones and scheduling appointments, and they do this on purpose to get some extra money, your spouse needs to keep calling or go in person to get an appointment.

No, they won't let you schedule it if you dont have the interview letter.

3) Will the doctor accept the Sinopharm Covid vaccine or will my husband have to get another series of vaccines? They accept all vaccines that were provided in Morocco. They request the covid vaccine i believe 2 or 3 weeks before the medical examination.

They want the last shot of the vaccine to be done at least 2 or 3 weeks before the medical appointment.

your spouse visa was just sent to NVC march of 2023

you have yet to pay  the 2 fees and complete the AOS with I 864 , IRS tax transcripts and other documents

also the ds 260 with the 2 criminal reports from Moroc  

    

• Moroccan citizens should obtain a "fiche anthropomtrique" at the local police office.and
• des casiers judiciaires at Place de la Mamounia in Rabat.

after  NVC recives the needed funds for the 2 fees and the documents to  support them ,   NVC will work with Casa embassy to schedule  your interview . then with the scheduled interview letter,  u can contact drs.   and they are often limited for scheduling in Ramadan and have been late to schedule the medical.  It is probable that the medical will have to be schedule after the interview (has been the case in  the last 2 years)

What did you do? We were expedited for an emergency and have been trying for 3 weeks to get a medical exam scheduled. Took forever to get an answer and one told us she’s only taking Canadians now, the other was closed when we tried to visit in person and a different time when she answered she said she has nothing until November and to ask the embassy for help, then Dr Abdelaziz threatened us with retaliation for visiting in person when he wouldn’t answer and he has refused to schedule us. We have called the embassy and they said there is nothing we can do. How are 2 of the approved doctors just not willing to schedule exams?

my husband finally got his interview letter a couple of weeks ago and started calling the doctor's offices. Someone said that it's best to call between 1-2 pm, and sure enough, he was able to reach Dr. Nezha El Fihri after a couple of days of trying. (Thank you to whoever gave that advice!) He said the person who answered the phone was very nice and he was able to get an appointment a few days before his interview date.

Hello,

we need advice from someone with recent Morocco experience on where to get a Covid vaccine. My husband is from a small town and he has been on the vaccine waiting list for months. They told him that they can only give the vaccine if 5 people sign up for it, and apparently the people in his area either already have it or don't want it, becaue they aren't signing up. Also, some of the workers told him that the system in his area has been down for months. He wasn't able to verify if this is true, so who knows?

Anyhow, he called a couple of medical clinics in Casablanca and they told him that he needed a Casablanca address in order to get a vaccine from them. He wasn't able to talk to the doctor that he has his upcoming immigration physical exam with, but the receptionist told him that he needs to move to Casablanca if he wants a vaccine. (I'm aware this sounds ridiculous, but Morocco...anything is possible.)

Is this true? Are there any private medical clinics that will give the vaccine? Are there any other solutions besides moving to Casablanca or finding four other people willing to have a vaccine? And if he does have to move to Casablanca, does he just need an address or does his ID card need to be updated with his new address as well?

 

Also, if you don't know the answer to this but know of some Facebook groups with recent Moroccan immigrants, that would be helpful too. We don't have anyone that we can ask, and we're really struggling! Thank you!

Thank you for your response JeanneAdil. Unfortunately when my husband went to his medical exam, the receptionist cancelled it when he told her that he wasn't able to get the Covid vaccine. (He tried to call ahead of the exam several times, but they didn't answer the phone. ) She said that he had to have both doses before his exam. He explained that he had been on the waiting list and asked what he should do, and she said to rent an apartment in Casablanca so that he can get it there.

 

I thought the same thing when I read that paragraph on the embassy website--"any necessary vaccinations" should include the Covid vaccine, but apparently it doesn't. 😭

he needs to report this physcian to the embassy and in an email,  ask them what to do

it will take time to get a response but embassy can wave the covid if he agrees to take vaccine in the US
