Timeline

Hi folks, i am a new member here., I need a clarification, my wife is a US citizen and we filed 130. Case category is IR1. Our priority date is Feb of 2020 and our case documantary qualified at 19th of September 2022. And still now I am waiting for NVC to schedule a interview. When can I expect an interview and how it will take, whenever I enquired NVC the simply says we working to push the backlogs. And it makes us very stressed hope you guys can help us. Thanks in advance

Timeline

You just have to wait until your case reaches the front of the queue at NVC for your consulate.  Your DQ date is what is relevant.  You can check other member timelines here on VJ.  That might give you an idea of the average time between DQ and interview.  You can also ask in your country's regional forum.  Welcome to VJ, the best source for immigration information.  Good luck.

August 7, 2022: Wife filed N-400 Online under 5 year rule.

November 10, 2022: Received "Interview is scheduled" letter.

December 12, 2022:  Received email from Dallas office informing me (spouse) to be there for combo interview.

December 14, 2022: Combo Interview for I-751 and N-400 Conducted.

January 26, 2023: Wife's Oath Ceremony completed at the Plano Event Center, Plano, Texas!!!😁

February 6, 2023: Wife's Passport Application submitted in Dallas, Texas.

March 21, 2023:   Wife's Passport Delivered!!!!

May 15, 2023 (about):  Naturalization Certificate returned from Passport agency!!

 

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Per my research, currently they scheduling interviews for people who got DQ 1st week of sept. You IL will be issued probably by the end of the month or early April for Mid May appointment.

Hello, our case got documentary approved on Sep 3rd and we got our interview letter on Feb 27th so looks like you will get it soon in a week or 2

Hi guys, Thanks for your reply and i got my interview mail by last Friday, and can i proceed with mail printout or should i wait for an interview letter by physical.
