I-864 Principal Immigrant's Mailing Address

On Part 2 (Information about the Principal Immigrant) - Question #2 (a-i) asks abut the Principal Immigrant's "Mailing Address" . Should we write our current address (abroad) or the address that we will be moving to (USA)? I prefer to put the address we will be moving to in the USA, but I am not sure if it's going to be an issue if I do so.

It's a present tense question.  Answer in the present tense.

It means CURRENT mailing address.

Will there be an "mail" coming to this address? I've had issues before with documents coming to our "Current" address.

You have no timeline.  Where are you in the process?  Part 2 of which form?  If you're just now filing the I-130, no mail goes to the beneficiary from USCIS.

I will fill out my timeline this. We are at the NVC Stage. I recently paid my fees. I was referring to Part 2 (#2) of the I-864 Form. It asks for the Mailing Address of the Immigrant. I once had an issue with a social security card arriving at our current address; it never arrived. Therefore, I am hesitant to put our current address or have our joint sponsor put our current mailing address for Part 2 (#2) of the I-864 Form. Tomorrow I have a meeting with our joint sponsor and will have to provide him with all the details so I need to make a decision. We have an address in the USA and I was wondering if we can just put that address for my spouse (the Immigrant) ? Any thoughts?

No mail is generated by the I-864.  The immigrant will also provide current and past addresses on the DS 260.  Be accurate.  The only thing sent to an address of the immigrant is their passport with the visa in it after interview.  They will provide an address for the courier to deliver.

Answer the questions that are asked in the context and tense they are asked.

I appreciate that answer because I was very ready to put the USA address - but apparently that would've been a mistake, possibly a blunder.

Moving forward with immigration and with life, when you see a question on a form, read it carefully, interpret it literally, and answer it accurately.  Those are words to live by.

Is it okay if the joint sponsor provides only his most recent Tax Return Transcript (2022)?

Thank you! For the I-864 Part 5 (Sponsor's Household Size) for #1 we will be putting (1) for the Principal Immigrant. The document already has a (1) generated for "Yourself" on #2. Then at the bottom it asks us to add together Items #1-#7.   In our case here should we have for #8 a (2) for the Household Size?

Is there a due date for any of these documents such as the I-864 in the NVC process? My sponsor wants to wait until he receives his 2022 Tax Return Transcript, but I am not sure if this is going to be an issue.

Yes, that's what the instructions say.  You're studying the instructions for this "most complicated form in the process" RIGHT?

You have a year between official contacts.  Timing is not an issue.

Yourself is the sponsor.  If you follow the instructions and complete the section properly, the correct total will autopopulate.
