I need some help if anyone has this information. My mom and dad both applied for IR5 while in India. My mom has received the immigrant visa with a validity to enter US but my dad’s interview date fir Mumbai hasn’t come in yet. Since they can only travel together, I need to extend my mom’s US entry date. How should I go about that? Any experience/information will be super appreciated

She can ask the embassy to reissue the visa.

Or she could  instead travel to the U.S. on her visa, file I-131 to apply for a Re-entry permit and then after filing I-131 return to India to wait for her husband’s visa.

They will not extend the validity date of any visa, as it is tied to the date of the medical.
