Surgeon in NJ.
I was so scared and anxious because I’ve read all those horror stories about the medical and people not passing it due to mental health issues etc.
The medical took literally 2 minutes! Lol
I waited longer in the waiting room then doing the exam.
She listened to my heart beat.
She just asked:
Drug abuse? No
Alcohol abuse? No
Symptoms of Tb (Tuberculosis), do you have a cough? No

Then she looked at my vaccination booklet from Germany put it all in her PC, after that she said congratulations you don’t need any vaccinations because you got vaxxed for everything in Germany.

Then she took 3 vials of blood and that was it :DD

I also told her if they do a drug test they should know that I’m taking Adderall so it will test positive for Amphetamines.
She didn’t even wanted to see my prescription lol.

She was very nice I was shaking and scared and she was like close your eyes and imagine being on the ocean and take a deep breath.

I was just wondering why she didn’t do the Urine test, do you guys know if it’s not required anymore or something? I forgot to ask because it was over so quick.

What I wanted to say is don’t stress, don’t let yourself freak out by Horror Stories on Reddit or the Internet in General.

I get my results on Monday🧡

https://www.cdc.gov/immigrantrefugeehealth/civil-surgeons/gonorrhea.html

All applicants aged 18 to 24 years must be tested for evidence of gonorrhea.

Applicants aged less than 18 years or greater than 24 years must be tested if there is a reason to suspect infection with gonorrhea.

….

For asymptomatic applicants without risk factors, a urine specimen (men or women) or a self-collected vaginal swab (women) must be used for the NAAT.

Why are you doing a medical exam for what sounds like the first time as a K1 is the US? K1s do their medical exam abroad with a panel physician.

:time:
