We received our email notice on November 10, 2022, NVC Notice regarding your Immigrant Visa Case becoming Documentarily Qualified. How long is the wait for an interview date to be set/granted for Manila Philippines? Both my wife and I are stressing out about this, we thought that she would be here in the U.S. already. We have been married almost 2 years now. If it goes beyond our 2-year mark, does it automatically switch to an IR-1 instead of the CR-1?

If, on the date your wife enters the US, you have been married for 2 years or longer, she should be issued a 10 year green card.

I believe now Manila is about 9 to 12 month wait for IR/CR category.

*** Moved from NVC forum to Embassy/Consulate Discussion -- OP's wife's case is already DQ, and interview scheduling varies by consulate, not an NVC issue ***

Manila has been doing very well in clearing their backlog of CR1/IR1 cases since 2021.  Wait time from DQ to interview letter is around 1 to 2 months now.  Mine came in 3 weeks after DQ.  No expedite.

Chancy, you said you received your interview letter 3 weeks after DQ? When was this? I ask because it has been 2 months since our DQ email

My interview was in 2021.  USEM has not posted a more recent update on their website, but as of May 2022, they noted that DQ to IL wait time for immediate relative categories is around 2 months -- https://ph.usembassy.gov/visa-update-consular-operations-visas-as-of-june-2022/

I went to the link you provided ( https://ph.usembassy.gov/visa-update-consular-operations-visas-as-of-june-2022/) and it only talks about ir-1 visa immediate relatives not cr-1 visa.

"Immigrant Visa (IV):  The Embassy is processing immigrant visas across all categories.  However, with significant backlogs in most categories, wait times for interviews are lengthy for all but immediate relatives (IR-1 through IR-5).  It is not possible to provide precise wait times as staffing  and local conditions affect capacity and scheduling. As of May 31, 2022, most IR visa cases being scheduled for interview were documentarily complete at the National Visa Center in March 2022. Most K visa cases being scheduled were documentarily complete in April 2022.  Most current employment-based cases being scheduled were documentarily complete in March 2022.  Most current family preference cases are approved expedite cases that were documentarily complete in January 2021."

I will just have to be patient I guess.

CR1 is also an immediate relative (IR) category.  Spouse of US citizen has same prioritization for interview scheduling, whether CR1 or IR1.

will our CR-1 (Conditional) visa category automatically change to an IR-1 visa since our 2-year anniversary will be in 4 days and our interview will be on March 8, 2023 or do I need to do something to change it.

No action required from you.  The consulate staff will see from your marriage certificate that your 2nd wedding anniversary has passed, and issue IR1 visa.  In the off chance that they make a mistake and issue a CR1 visa instead, you will still be entitled to a 10-year green card after entering the US with your spouse visa.
