Hi there! I see a lot of people stated that their case status changed from 'received ' to 'being actively reviewed' Cades? 2-3 weeks after submission.  My parents' case statuses are remaining 'received', and I understand it is still very early. It has been a month.  Just wondering if it means it will take them longer to process my cases?

Current cases: Bringing my parents to US

Mother: I-130 - Dec 6, 2022 - Application received

Father: I-130 - Dec7, 2022 - Application received

Mother: I-130 - Oct 24, 2023 - Approved

Father: I-130 - Oct 25, 2023 -Approved

Mother: NVC - Nov 6, 2023 - Paid

Father: NVC - Nov 6, 2023 - Paid

Mother: NVC - Dec 16, 2023 - Forms Completed + Docs submitted

Father: NVC - Dec 16, 2023 - Forms Completed+ Docs submitted

Mother: NVC - Dec 21, 2023 - DQ

Father: NVC - Jan 04, 2024 - DQ

Ok. I filed an I-130 for my mom last year. 2 weeks ago my Actively Reviewing date changed from March 4, 2022 to November 28, 2022 - when I looked at the Documents tab, at the top section where USCIS had sent me communications (letters), the approval notice was already there. That seems to be the benchmark for determining approvals.

If there is no letter then all I can think of is that your file just got "touched." Meaning someone just reviewed it but did nothing else.

Do you have any concurrent filings? If you do then they may have acted on those.

That was pretty fast. Any affidavit support form filing needed?

My mom is in the Philippines, so I only filed the I-130.

She finished her NVC process (The I-864 was included in that filing) and her Embassy process, she got her visa on hand April 15.

Has anybody noticed that they have increased processing times for the i130 applications? When I first applied it was 11.5 months at Texas center. Now it’s 13.5. Will it keep increasing ? :( does anybody have any info on this? I’m getting anxious.

Hi!

Yes! Potomac Center timing increased from 11 to 16
