Issues filing N400 online

I have tried to start the N400 application online, and get so far before an " Unable to retrieve your application" error pops up. Only get thru the first 2-3 pages. I exit to the home area, and see the pending N400 application in my profile, and when I try to continue it it takes me back to the error " Unable to retrieve your application". I have tried multiple browsers, and deleted the filing, and started over a few times with the same error showing up. Have only been trying for the past hour or so. Guess I'll wait until tomorrow to try it again. I am assuming it is an error on their end, as I have successfully filed other forms online with no issues ( Just completed I130 online, well, case is closed now, got the visa and everything, but that went very smoothly online). Just wondering if anyone filed N400 online and had this issue? Thanks in advance.

Here on a K1? Need married and a Certificate in hand within a few hours? I'm here to help. Come to Vegas and I'll marry you Vegas style!!   Visa Journey members are always FREE for my services. I know the costs involved in this whole game of immigration, and if I can save you some money I will!

I was thinking, because of the holiday Friday, and like you said, long weekend, that could be the issue. Thanks for the input. I'll just try once a day until it finally works I guess. In a week, I'll file VIA paper. The I130 worked so well, I had high hopes of no issues with the N400, I should know better now.. LOL.

Based on the Reddit AMA that was linked posted to the VJ immigration news forum last month, I would give online N-400 more time to work:

* the least experienced ISOs get N-400 cases

* thus most N-400 ISOs are less experienced

* such ISOs prefer online N-400s

* thus online N-400s tend to be processed faster

Sometimes USCIS doesn’t fix it all by Monday.  It’s basically a 3 day a week operation now.

Sorry to hear this. On the plus side Vegas is on speed lightening with N400. I applied LATE June and have interview mid Dec; so expect you to have far less wait and to get scheduled for interview in like 1-2 months after applying. Although I’m hoping they are slamming approvals for combos. I have my Rocs approved already.  Hope all goes well!!!! Keep us posted 🙌

I've been having the same problem. I decided not to attempt to submit it until tomorrow, provided that all issues are fixed. Fingers crossed.

This is probably the reason for the technical difficulties:

November 09, 2022
USCIS will conduct system maintenance to the Contact Relationship Interface System (CRIS) on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at 11:50 p.m. through Thursday, November 10, 2022 at 2:00 a.m. Eastern.

Got the N400 completed no issues today. All filed and paid for. Said 16 month wait, but hopefully sooner like @Vegas i-751 had posted earlier.

Here on a K1? Need married and a Certificate in hand within a few hours? I'm here to help. Come to Vegas and I'll marry you Vegas style!!   Visa Journey members are always FREE for my services. I know the costs involved in this whole game of immigration, and if I can save you some money I will!

Vegas is all good man. You should hear back very quick especially current speed; however not sure how combo is processing (I won’t be a combo interview as I am already approved for ROC). 6 months for me wasn’t the worst but hey you know how USCIS works- sometimes slow, fast, ghosting. Only concern I have is with their current speed they may delay people’s approvals especially if they interview people prior to 3 year GC anniversary as can’t approve until anniversary of course. You’ll be good! Keep us updated 😊

The case just updated this morning to uscis is actively reviewing your case, and the estimate did drop to 10 months from 16. The ROC should be approved any day now based on the other cases I have been following.  If that gets approved without interview, then hopefully N400 interview won't be far behind.

Ignore the 10months as it’s moot. You’ll all get interviewed with 2-3 months. I promise you the app/online account is moot 😉
