Marriage based AOS

FO: Manhattan NYC

March 16: Filed I-130, I-485, I-765, I-131, and medical

March 18: NOA1 Date

March 31: RFE for I-130 and I-485

April 22: Biometrics appointment, status for all forms changed to Actively Reviewed

June 24: Approved Combo Card based on Expedite

November 5: Status for I-130 is still at Actively Reviewed, but date changed to November 5

November 6: Status for I-485 changed from Actively Reviewed to Case Approved

Does this mean our interview was waived? Will our I-130 change to case approved as well?

So I had a similar thing happen but it was the I-130 that was approved. The status didn’t change to say that but the approval notice popped up in the online account. I’m hoping this means the I-485 was approved too 😬

Hope so too! My I-130 is still at actively reviewed. Wonder how long it'll take to change to approved.

Technically, the I-130 MUST be approved first since it is the basis for the I-485.  If the I-485 was approved, the I-130 was approved, too.   However, an approved I-130, alone, does not mean an I-485 was approved.  An I-485 has several parts such the I-864 and financial considerations.

I see! Found it strange that the 485 got approved first, but this seems like a happy problem to say the least.

I think they just didn't update the status.
