So it's been 30 days since I should have got a phone call from USCIS to schedule an appointment and instead I got an email stating they are fully booked and I will basically have to wait for them to call me when appointments open.. is this normal? also just like every question.. how long. My nearest is the Detroit office. I have travel planned for December and I am really starting to freak out. I guess I just have to wait but this is where I am at.

Put them on speed dial and keep calling stating urgency of travel and possible “ job loss” , call your Congressman’s office for help and email omnbudsman..

Looks like Florida Field Office actually mailed out a stamp to member….so keep poking.

Does anyone happen to know what waiting time estimates are looking like on getting an appointment set up for a I-551 stamp?

All depends on your circumstances, persistence and local office business. From few days to several weeks or months.

Update: I spoke to someone at USCIS on Friday evening and stated that at this point I am really stressed and I travel in December, I'm asking for a stamp not gold etc etc. They have now put me on the urgent 72 hour call list. I just hope this means I get a call and not instead another email saying they are booked up again. Fingers crossed now. That's all I can do right..

If this is literally what you've said and it ends up working, you should write up a guide for getting the stamp 🥲

Jokes aside, I wish you good luck and to get it soon!

I had my interview Monday 28th November and I got my stamp easily within 15 minutes of being inside the USCIS building. I am so happy. I will be visiting my family for a week on 21st December for christmas. Can anybody list everything I should bring for border control incase I need it, I really do not want to miss taking something. Thank you. :) Happy holidays!
