Its always worth it. I have only filed in Jul22 and have all ready written letters to my state representative, senator and white house, not with the intention of getting anything done, per say, but to just add my voice to the other voices that this system needs to be fixed. I'm assuming that anyone going through this process follows the news and videos on updates online as much as I do and are just as frustrated to see all of the attention consistently go to every other type of visa while K-1 visas never get mentioned at all. I feel only by adding all of our voices together can we remind our government that the K-1 visa petitioners are stuck in limbo and need some attention as well. I voiced my opinion that it letting our fiance visit us in the states after we filed our 129-F applications would make the wait much easier while they work on the backlogs and that our filing of those petitions should be proof that we intend to do this the correct and legal way and that they need to ease up a little on the requirements to prove ties to our fiances country of origin.

I reached out to my congressperson after the application reached the 14 1/2 month mark. Her office sent me forms to sign giving permission to look into our case. I-130 approval came a month later. When I thanked her office, they told me to let them know if I have any more difficulties. I have heard similar stories from others, so it's definitely worth a try. And I wouldn't hesitate to contact them asap. The wait is already long enough.

15 1/2 months is standard, I think you are confusing the enquiry with regular processing.
