NVC Timelines

Hi, my wife and I already submitted all the required documentation to the NVC, it's been 2 months since we sent the documents, should I send a message asking for an update or should I wait? What are the NVC waiting times? 

(CR1 visa, We are both from Colombia)

How do I know the date they receive my case? I submitted and paid all the fees July 11
