What took 6 months to complete NVC? Did you do it so you can enter the USA after your two year anniversary?

It took 4 months for the first response and the ask for a new birth certificate because the quality was not the best and then 2 months to review the new birth certificate.

That's absolutely crazy. I just got my NOA2 approved. I was thinking about waiting till May 1st to submit all documents for NVC because I would like to enter after out two year anniversary. Got married Nov 9, 2021. I am worried about myneoges birth certificate. Hers is from Cucuta and it doesn't have much on there. I was thinking about putting an apostles on it so that when I submit it they can't say it's the fake one. I had an issue with the marriage certificate because the notary gives you a summerized one unless you ask for the original and they never tell you about the original unless you know to ask for it. A completely different paper. So I am worried when it comes to her birth certificate.

Also, my wife is not fluent in English. Will she have any trouble at the embassy?

Just be sure when you scan all the documents they are legible, my issue some numbers at the top right some numbers got crop due to the scan size, make sure that all your scans are legible. And no she will get no trouble at the embassy, my wife does not speak English at all, the consul at the embassy speaks english and spanish, my wife was interviewed by an american consul in spanish

Thank you so much for responding. That lifted a lot of weight off my shoulders. She is learning English but instill get complaints that she can't tell the difference in sounds when saying Bird and Beard sounds thr same. Congrats on your successful visa.
