Hi, I’m a May 2020 filer, received I751 interview notice by May 2022 and they scheduled interview in NY by 5/23/2022 however at that time I have already moved to CA and they changed my filed office so they rescheduled to Santa Ana office for today 8/23/22

overall the interview went very smooth,  me and my wife went into the room with my attorney.
IO she is a very nice lady she asked our IDs and reason of moving to CA (because we still have NY DLs) where did we go for vocations, and do We have child, my attorney handed her a lot of evidences after filled I751, she took all of them but did not look at all. We have bought 2 houses one in NY and one in CA, so she looked at the deeds and seems satisfied.  The conversation  part was about 10 mins, that’s it

after that she just typing and looking at her computer, for long long long time like 15 mins, it was such a long 15 mins to wait there.. we don’t know what to say and scared lol.

then she printed out a piece of paper said I’m approved, I should expect my new green card in 30 days, and she also took my old expired green card said I don’t need it anymore.  When I got home like 1 hour later, online status changed to New Card Being Produced

that’s it, good luck to all of you guys!
By the way, me and my wife got interviewed here in the US in our I485 application. Don’t know why they selected us for I751 for another interview, but don’t worry you all, If your marriage is bona fide and legit  they will give you the status, they are human beings too, they don’t want to make your life difficult.

I actually filed my N400 application in May of 2022 Santa Ana office, do you guys have any idea how long I should keep waiting ?

Did she give you an I-551 stamp? Otherwise, she just took from you you I-551 and you are required to have one on your person at all times. I would have refused until an I-551 was given to me.

Congrats.  I hope your card arrives this week.

I had asked if she can stamp my passport so I can go to dmv to change my DL to California, she said she can’t do that I would have to make appointment and outside people do it.  She had told me do not worry recently green card comes to to your mailbox pretty quick. I should be fine.
