My birth certificate lists my fathers country of birth incorrectly

Hello,

I'm in the process of going over things. I noticed my birth certificate  lists my fathers country of birth incorrectly.

My father is able to provide me his birth certificate with the correct birth place. Should I include this as a correction for my birth certificate?

Are you the USC petitioner?  If so, instead of your birth certificate, you may submit a copy of the bio page of your valid US passport as proof of your US citizenship.  But if your US birth certificate is your only proof of citizenship, having an error on your father's place of birth will not be a dealbreaker for the I-129F.

If you are the foreign beneficiary, your birth certificate is not required at all for the petition.  Work on correcting the errors on your birth certificate in time for your visa interview.

Yes, I am the petitioner.  That is a good idea using the passport. I will go that route and take the worry out of it. Thanks so much for your help.
