Hi there,

I apologize ahead of time if i am being repetitive, but I just discovered that you can file N400 in 5 years (my case is 5 years as a divorce waiver) AND minus 90 days before your GC anniversary??

Not using a lawyer for this one so I had no idea! If my GC was issued on September 21, 2017, does that mean I am already eligible?? If so, that’s great news, I will then apply asap since my I-751 has been pending since 2019! And I can file online?? That’s even better!!
I am just apprehensive about filing 90 days early due to a potential denial. So if someone can just tell me straight up ‘Anna, yes you CAN FILE NOW’, it will make me feel more confident 😄

You can file on 6/23/2022 under the five year rule.  Here is the early filing calculator, just add 5 years to the year of your GC to get the first date you can file.

Good Luck!

Yes, you can file 90 days beforehand. You can use the USCIS calculator to make sure you get the date correct: https://www.uscis.gov/forms/uscis-early-filing-calculator

When I put in the date you provide (+5 years) it says Earliest Accepted Filing Date: 06 / 23 / 2022

You also need to make sure you meet all other requirements, such as spending enough time in the U.S. I'd suggest checking the guide here for assistance.
