Hello. I have a few a doubts. I'm from Mexico in the US on a TN visa. I'm currently working as an accountant for a bank but been thinking about becoming a nutritionist. If I want to practice as a nutritionist can a do it on a TN visa (as an additional income source) or do I need to get a different visa? Do you know what other type of visa could work that I could actually apply for?

Thanks

According to this site, what qualifications do you have to be a nutritionist?  Do you have an employer lined up already?

This applies to most work visas

Good luck

First do Nutritionists qualify for a TN

Do you have those qualifications

Do you have an Employer

I'm planning on doing a nutritionist certification, but I'm considering using it to work independently as a side job for now. My TN visa would continue to be as an accountant. I'm wondering if I'm allowed to have a TN visa job and have an extra income.

No, you cannot do outside work on the TN -- you are approved to work only for your TN employer.

If you get a Bachelor's degree as a nutritionist, and have a sponsoring employer, it would qualify you for a TN.  If you get a certificate based on Iess than a Bachelor's degree, it would not qualify for a TN visa.
