Most of us here are working people. I thought I could start a thread with what knowledge/ skills from your profession (or skill, or job) would you bring with you if you were employed by USCIS?

I will start. I am a teacher, so I would assign homework to officers: "You have a week to finish five applications. A week from now you'll bring those applications to me with your recommendations, and I'll assess your work". And if they miss their homework twice in a row, I would call their parents/ spouses for a conference..

Feb 7: EAD approved and interview scheduled

March 18, 2020 Interview cancelled

REMOVAL OF CONDITIONS

July 18, 2023 approval

If they haven't already, could implement agile methodology to automate and streamline a lot of the repeated tasks, BUT also bore the whole team with meetings upon meetings.

I could spend a few weeks putting all common forms that aren't already online on the web so USCIS employees could wait for months or years to spend fifteen minutes processing things that were uploaded instead of mailed.

Nice. So you could receive (for example) 751s and make sure they all go to the same department… you know, the 485 department, the 751, the 601…

I forgot to mention I make good coffee, so there’s that…
