Hi! February 22, 2022 filer here in the I-130 category. When we applied for my husband’s Canadian PR, I was in a WhatsApp group for filers from our month. Is anyone interested in starting a February 2022 group for us I-130 filers? :)

Yes

I think that’s a good idea! Not sure how many people we can gather but I’m down for it.

I  am for it...so that I am not so overwhelmed with all these forums

Hi everyone, we filed I-130 on 2 Feb and it went to "case is being actively reviewed" the same day at the Nebraska service center. No change yet. I tried asking Emma where the case was being processed but just wasn't able to get to a representative or anything but a list of links to the case status checker page etc. (I tried inside and outside of the 8am-8pm office hours EDT, which some forum posts indicated might help). Any tips would be appreciated 😄

The case processing time on the USCIS website is 6 months, but VJ is showing Nebraska at 320 days - I'm guessing the VJ one is more accurate? That's a big difference 😅

Hi.. what i do to get a live person is that when I call I vhoose the option that says "missed biometric appt". She was able to tell me where my case was being processed and what date to call that was considered outside processing time, which would be October. Hope that helps.

I honestly don't think any processing times/timelines are accurate. There are so many factors that go into it (even though uscis claims there is an order to it). Each case is different. Some couples get to expedite which speeds up their case. Some spouses are from countries that are considered higher risk (which is sad but true) so that may delay the process. Some people have unfavorable histories (like criminal records, multiple marriages, and kids from previous marriages) which also delays the process.

I truly believe the only thing you can do is wait and hope for the best. As long as you file a strong case, you have nothing to worry about. At the end of the day 1-2 years will seem like nothing once you get your green card. My best advice is to just keep living your life (no matter how unfair it may all seem). :)

To get a LIVE representative on the chat - here is what worked for me: doing it exactly at 8am when they are not slammed with work. Also, try different days of the week. I typically go for Monday at 8am and it always works for me.

Well said. We're prepared for the wait and it all seems pretty fair so far, just tricky planning things with such a big variance (eg. do we visit family in the US in November, or are we likely to get an approval some time close to then... etc.). It is what it is, and we're together in the meantime so I feel pretty lucky all things considered.

Hello February filers! I was just checking the forum looking at everyone’s stories. I filed Aug 2021 and am at California Service Center. Monday it will be 300 days since my NOA1. I’ve been in Actively review for 275 days now. Hoping and praying that we get our approval within the next two weeks. Especially before our wedding anniversary on July 20. Im pretty sure our approval is coming soon but it is SOOOO hard to

continue to have patience and live everyday without stressing.

I think not. It's still early ... as sad it is to say that.

We did.. Contrary to what most people say: To wait about 2 or 3 months after filing i130, we filed our i129f on Feb 6.. We had filed i130 online so had a NOA1 pretty much the next day. We used that and the form i129f to initiate K3.

I129f was "Received" Feb 9, but didn't change, not even to "actively reviewing"...

We got i129f officially denied on 25 April, the day NVC received our case from USCIS...

Hi! First of all, congratulations for your quick aproval. My husband will send the aplication next month, between September 1-5. We are thinking to send I-129F form, did you pay the fee for I-129F? or do you only paid for the sent? Thank you.

Just giving my input here on how it's going after sending in I-129F(K3) form:

Filed I-130 on Feb. 27th and after reading about the K3 I decided to give it a try. Since it is free to fill out I went ahead and did it, pretty easy as I used my I-130 to grab most of the information.

I sent the K3 in around late May and they received it may 27th, my receipt notice for this came in June 1st.

I have not heard of anything else since then, it would be nice to see that it actually helped so I continue to be patient.

Thank you for sharing that! We have an incredibly similar case in terms of dates.

We filed the i130 on Feb 12th. Then, we sent in our K3 on May 26th. We got an active review on our I130 on June 21st. I assume we got the active review because they linked our K3 to our i130.

But just like you, we haven't heard anything since then. Our case is in Potomac.

I am hopeful. I believe we will hear something soon.

Hey! That's very interesting before sending the K3 did you have an "actively being reviewed notice" on the USCIS site? My case has said actively being reviewed since February 27th. The date has not changed for that even after K3....hmmm

The receipt notice that I stated was for the K3, they sent me mail stating they had received it.

My I-130 is in California, but best of luck to both of us! Hopefully waiting times decrease.
