221G Medical for 7 weeks.

I received a 221g for my medical exam on Feb. 17 and still have not received my visa. My CEAC still shows refused. Does anyone else have a similar issue?

Write the words refused status in the search bar above and u will see case after case with this same issue

but it doesn't mean refused

nothing is stated about the visa status till it says either issued or denied

refused is just normal AP while they process a visa or do extra security checks

What's your nationality? Have you been to any security risk countries? There's probably a reason why it's taking long.

Not exactly. People who go in with all their documents and a clear medical exam don’t experience “refused” status. It’s not a “normal” status. It means they came to the interview lacking something. It is not normal Administrative Processing. It is correctable, however by providing whatever is lacking. Then the case can move on to the AP steps prior to Issued.

You can email them and ask they confirm that your medical was received. Then you know that’s okay and they just forgot to take the refused status off. That leaves you with maybe security checks taking time which they won’t confirm or discuss.

I did email them a couple weeks ago and they said that if my case is refused pending receipt of medical than they will let me know the outcome of my case once my medical has been reviewed. Very vague response.

Uk nationality. The officer took my passport and even said congratulations you have been approved

Strange, hope mine doesn't take that long, i done my medical on the 6th April. The embassy took my passport 10th march so I hope that's an approval.

I'm having same issue, done my medical since 18th of Feb and resubmitted my passport two weeks later as requested by the consultant and up till now the status still says refuse and no update from the embassy and no response to my email..

It’s reassuring to know that I am not the only one in this situation. Hopefully both of our visas get issued soon. Please keep me updated.
