2 years is enough time to get to an interview. Relax

Immigration journey is not: fast, for the faint at heart, easy, cheap, for the impatient nor right away. If more than 50% of this applies to you, best get off the bus.

I filed my N400 and and still waiting for interview schedule. My green card is about to expire in 2 years. I don’t know how long gonna take for my citizenship application. What form to apply? Ist possible to apply that also while waiting for my N400 application?

Since you filed N-400 more than 6 months before your green card expires, then in the event the all of the following are true;

* you are not naturalized

* your  green card expires (or has less than 30 days of expiration)

* you have need (work, travel, renew state ID/DL, Patriot Act compliance such as a bank record)

then you are entitled to get a free I-551 stamp without filing I-90.  Call USCIS. Say “info pass” and request an I-551 stamp on your passport
