Ok, so we have everything ready to send off with the exception of the med forms. I was just wondering if I should staple the forms together (according to which form they are, of course), or just use paper clips? Stapling looks a lot better, I think, but I dont know if they are going to be running the forms through machines or not. What has been everyone's experience with this? Thanks a lot.

We used ACCO fasteners to fasten the forms together. It looks neater and it's easier for them to disassemble.

That is what is recommended on the USCIS site, ACCO fasteners at the top

Acco fasteners are recommended if you have a very large amount of paperwork, otherwise anything else will do, as long as its neat. I personally used a combination of staples and paperclips.

Personally, I don't think you should staple your documents together, especially if they may eventually be separated and sorted out during the process. Acco fasteners or paper clips should work.

Wish they'd make up their minds about those ACCO fasteners - I know the USCIS site recommends them, but the NBC's own website says:

Please refrain from using “ACCO” style fasteners and/or staples (However, it is ok to staple the fee to the top of the primary application package.)

Thanks everyone for your replies. What I did already was I stapled the actual forms together, and made like, 4 or 5 packets out of each form and the respective supporting documents. I just paperclipped each packet together with a paper on top of each packet that says the name of the form, my hubby's name and SSN. I think it looks pretty nice. Thanks for the input.

This is basically what I did. As long as your packet is clear and neat, I think it will be fine. They basically will pull it apart and put it into the form they want at the Chicago Lockbox anyway, so there's not too much point spending huge amounts of effort in putting it together a certain way.
