Hi Group members,

I have applied for my parents immigration visa IR5. There was some documents replacement request which was re-submitted and accepted 13 Feb 2021. On the online portal "Affidavit of Support Documents & Financial Evidence" and "civil documents" status appears as accepted since that date. However, I have not received any further email from NVC or interview date. I have sent several online queries via Ask NVC, yet no reply is received. My consulate is Islamabad. Kindly advise if anyone has faced any similar situation or if knows what next to be done?

Thanks,

Did you get an email saying the case is documentarily qualified (DQ)?

No email came for documentary qualified. And this is the whole issue, all documents are accepted but DQ email is not come and its more than 1 year

Even if all uploaded documents are tagged as accepted, the case is not DQ until you get an email and CEAC inbox message stating DQ.  Is there no review note saying what document(s) could be missing?  If not, call NVC and ask for clarification.  The case will not be queued for interview until it is DQ-ed.

i have sent the email to NVC and they replied saying we have requested financial documents and waiting for that. What is confusing is they are asking to provide W2-1099 for sponsor and joint sponsor and both of them are self employed. So 1040 is provided and it is accepted. However, they are asking to provide W2-1099 which are not available. Kindly assist what should I do in this case?

Hi,

I have sponsored parents and provided Form 1040 which is accepted. However, NVC is asking to provide W2-1099 and holding the file for that. I am self employed and W2-1099 is not available. Kindly advise the solution?

Thanks

If “ not available “ means they did not get any 1099’s and it’s just a schedule C tax return, then you write a Short Explanation for each saying NO 1099 and NO W-2 income for the Sponsor/ Joint Sponsor, was issued/ all income is self reported.  Basically you need to upload an explanation in lieu of the document they are asking for .

Hi,

I received following messages  in account recently.

1- Please submit XXXX (Applicant) Evidence of Income. For more information, visit https://nvc.state.gov/fin.

2- Please submit XXXX (Joint Sponsor) Evidence of Income. For more information, visit https://nvc.state.gov/fin.

3- This case does not meet the minimum income requirement to sponsor the intending immigrants. To avoid delays, an additional Affidavit of Support Form I-864 from a joint sponsor may be submitted. For more information visit https://nvc.state.gov/aos. The consular officer will make a decision regarding this requirement at the time of the interview. For more information, please visit https://www.uscis.gov/i-864p.

I have already provided w2/1099 documents. Please advise what is meaning of application not meeting minimum requirement and if this is the case why they asking to provide income evidence for joint sponsor?

Any help will be appreciated.
