Received text with receipt number. This was for our package that was received Tuesday. Got assigned to MSC. From what I've been reading, that's not the fastest service center. Is that correct?

You will soon learn that the words 'USCIS' and 'fast' should not be used in the same sentence hahaha

Jokes aside, I try not to pay attention to processing times. I've seen cases approved really quick in supposedly slow centers, and the other way around too. I got assigned LIN, and my approval estimate from VJ went from November this year to January... 2024!!!

Hi guys, thought I could share my timeline so we can help each other track progress as our ROC process begins for March 2022 filers:

Mar 22 2022, Tue Submitted I 751 +supporting vis UPS
Mar 24 2022,  Thu Deck received by AZ Lockbox in the morning
Mar 25 2022, Fri Credit Card has been charged
Mar 28 2022, Mon Received Txt confirming with Case Receipt No. begins with MSC

Am I right to say MSC is probably for filers who entered US without prior fingerprints/interview taken in the US?

Anyone seen a MSC filer got approved very fast? If you know of any, would be nice to know their timeline and if they get fingerprints+interview too.   The fastest I saw from others was about 4 months with Texas.

I will update again when I have the next steps...thanks!

I got my receipt on the mail this past Monday (03/07). Starts with WAC.

@ale07  Do you mind sharing your timeline too?  I am in California too and curious to see if we would have similar processing time. I am in SoCal and different processing center - MSC tho. Looking forward to your updates if any. Thanks!!

We sent our packet on 3/7 and it was received on  3/9. No information  has been received via text or a letter.

We also used a money order.

Anyone know where to call to ask, and how long should we wait, before calling?

Thanks

Any chance you are able to confirm that they have cashed your money order with your service provider? I would call USCIS hotline to ask them to locate your application.

Worst case scenario, if they haven't cashed your money and your application is lost in transit, you can still re-submit a new one. I would also keep records of what, when and where I have sent my documents.  So I could follow up with specific submission/delivery details with the USCIS as well as the carrier provider.

Receipt of I 797 with typo, requested correction

so I was very excited to receive the i797 notice in my mailbox............there is a typo on my Notice ☹️😞😣😣😖😖😞😞😞😞😞😞

my first name has a typo, I sent an e-request for correction and re-issue of corrected notice, their e-request say response in 3 weeks........anyone has typo error correction experience before? how long did that take for them to correct it?

my question is - would that impact any of my live and work status if they printed my i797 with a typo in my first name?

I typed and printed my form i751 for submission, not hand writing, except my signature

No sign of a text message or check cashing yet 🙁 My packet was delivered to the lockbox on Sunday, had kind of expected the sms by now. Oh well, hopefully soon! (I did fill out the electronic notification form and attached that to the front of my packet with the check)

Hi All,

Does MSC mean a definite interview? We have 2 kids together, should be an easy case...

Anyone had MSC and no interview?

No does not determine an interview or not,  your case can be forwarded to your local office, and just because there are children does not necessarily mean an easy case either!
