The sad thing is...these people really believe that allowing that guest Hindu Chaplain to pray is an abomination. This kind of exclusionary attitude of America is what I detest...and it is obviously quite contrary to principals of our Constitution.

No! The SAD thing is, watchin you run right to protect RELIGION (HINDU) when it suits you! Then dodgin back to the left (CHRISTIAN) To BASH!

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

Lower down than the heart I think. And in the back ;)

ET made the point ealier - quite succinctly. Other than that these people are labelled as "christian" I don't think they are Christian at all. They are however - intolerant, fundamentalist a-holes.

Oh please. The fact that they're praying at ALL is bad enough; they deserve to be heckled during any prayer. The US doesn't have a state religion so rather than doing a bunch of nonsense 'inclusive' and 'diverse' prayers in the Senate, how about just praying BEFORE you get there and arrive ready to work?

I'm not sure about his personal life (I think he had several mistresses), but... there's an awful lot of talented people who happen to be gay.

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

Comments by Janet Parschall (and vast majority of callers into her show today)--it was apt for these "Christians" to pray, but not to shout the prayer (in fact, shouting the prayer is specifically violates an exhortation to "do in orderly manner").

That's why they're referred to as bible freaks. More the latter than the former, actually. ;)

But yes, an awful lot of talented people happen to be gay.

But (as per a certain song***, can't remember the artist), Picasso was a fair drinker.

***Lyrics start "A grand old painter died last night" and the refrain is "drink to me, drink to my health, you know I can't drink anymore".

Okay, let me see if I have this straight: you think that the Senate shouldn't open with a prayer because the senators should pray before they get there and arrive ready to work. So you think that the senators shouldn't be praying in the chamber.

For which reason you think that the clergyperson leading the prayer should be heckled?
