So, as expected and in line with Norms, USCIS processing time has increased once again! (https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/)

Now its 17-23 months.

I know these numbers are manipulated to prevent people from filling out of processing time requests, but good lord! How can everything else in the world be back to normal, but USCIS is progressively getting worse! I applied 9/15/2020, and I have not received an update since 2/19/2021 (bioreuse).

this is interesting considering this latest news on how they’re trying to improve the timeline!

USCIS targets to address this timeline by end of FY 23 which is September 2023😀.  That's a long long way away . Nothing changes in the short to mid term. Wait times in Seattle would continue to be one of the longest in the nation.

"USCIS will increase capacity, improve technology, and expand staffing to achieve these new goals by the end of FY 2023.

That's disappointing. Even spending money is slow at this institution

Major update. Interview scheduled today. Does my FOIA request worked so well, or it’s something that anyway would be scheduled today?

We’ll never know.

I want to believe that FOIA helped to push my file.

I requested just N-400 and i-751 files.

Not a whole A-file.

Good luck to everyone waiting

History: applied on August 2019 (i-751), August 1st 2020 (n400).

Did you get any reply from the FOIA request though?

Received Interview notification today. Have been following the thread and spreadsheet for sometime now. I think both are very useful to track likely timeframes. The spreadsheet, specially, is very indicative of when one is likely to get the interview notice.

Hello friends,

I'm now an official US citizen.

I had my interview yesterday 4/11/2022 at Tukwila office. I parked on site for $8. The security officer didn't let me in until 15 minutes before the interview. After I got in, I showed the interview scheduled documents to the officer and she printed out the number. I waited second floor for about 5 minutes and there was a lady walked me to the interview site. I did virtual interview. I showed the ID, green card and the passport to her. The interview was pretty straight forward, she asked me 6 questions:

1/ how many US senators?

2/ if the president and vice president can't serve, who will become president?

3/ what is the name of the speaker of the house?

4/ what is the name of the ocean in the west coast?

5/ what is the capital of the USA?

6/ what is the name of the president now?

Then I read 1 sentence for reading test "When is the Columbus Day?" and wrote one sentence "The people elect Congress"

Then she asked me a few questions about N-400 application, where did I worked. She asked me whether I registered for Selective Service yet.

The interviewer is extremely nice. After the interview was done, she smiled and we had a small talk.

When the process was done, she gave me a Congratulations and set up same day Oath Ceremony.

Thank you so much for this forum and all the members, you walked me through since the first step until now. Thank you so much, I really appreciate all. And good luck everyone.

Thank you all for keeping these updates coming. It really helps. I applied for my aged parents (74 & 68) on Jan 2021, so the time for their interview date hopefully coming soon. English is not their primary language but if spoken slowly they are able to understand and communicate. Of course with any interview they are nervous. they already got the questions locked down but i wanted to help them practice reading and writing part of things.

I would really appreciate if folks (if they remember) share the phrases they had to write and read. It will help them practice. I also plan to go over the application with them in details. anything else i should think about? anyone that gone through this for their parents. Dont know if they will allow me in with them on the day, but preparing them to handle this on their own

thanks
