I wouldn't mind waiting so much if I could be with my fiance while we waited. We don't have any set wedding plans. We'll just do the civil ceremony thing within a week of his arrival and plan a party for later.

Unfortunately, only one of those June filers actually filed in June. The rest were May filers.

Yeah - I must admit the wait at the NVC and the wait at all the other points is going to be tedious but I think for me that is only because I don't know what to expect - I kinda know how this part works for the most part now cause I've been living it but the rest is a bit of a mystery

It totally depends on your case, the country your SO is from, the preparations done, the person you get at the interview, etc.

In my case after NOA2 I expect about 2 weeks to get to NVC, then 1 month over to China, then it sits there for 2-3 months at least. Then they send out packet 3 to my girl.

I think it is ridiculous that we have to petition, just for the chance to apply for a fiancee visa.

It's been a while since I've been on here, but do my eyes deceive me? or do I see that the majority of the cases that got an NOA2 on Oct 16 at CSC; are from June? Please someone pinch me, did I REALLY see some petitions from June already being approved??

there are a couple, but if you click through to the timelines you'll see that most filed in May; NOA1 was received in June but sometimes after a bit of a delay

still, it's all positive, I think; CSC is moving steadily forward at the moment

Well wedding moved.....only by 4 weeks but I think 4 weeks can mean alot in this overdrawn process. So instead of May 3rd it's now May 31st. Even managed to get same places.

Until she has visa on hand, in the passport I just wouldn't feel comfortable making any sort of arrangements, but that is only in my case.

In your case I hope it is smooth sailing and the timing works out.

That's good news, Debz! I really believe that you will easily be here on your visa for that date! I'm glad you got to keep the same locations, cos I know how much you like them!!

Yay! Well done Debz!! We're sticking with our date because we wanted it to be between our birthdays but it is very stressful - especially as my whole family have booked their plane tickets :/... all I want is some kind of guarantee that I can get into the country and I will be fine - i will wait then!!! I just wish we knew more about the process before we booked everything...

Congrats Debz. I'm really pleased you were able to retain your original venue, I know how important it was for you. At least now you can relax for a month without worrying about the wedding, by which time your NOA2 will be just around the corner.
