Don't know if anyone cares or notices, but I realized that you all wanted the NOA dates as dates they were issued, not the dates I got them.

Thus, my NOA1 date goes backwards from 7-27 to 7-23! Whoo?

ive been doing research on those people who applied last year, around the same time of year as us...here are the results that i have found for VSC 2006:

Average time between NOA1 and NOA2

April NOA1: 70 days

May NOA1: 80 days

June NOA1: 61 days

July NOA1: 48 days

August NOA1: 30 days

I think, that it is safe to say that the end is near...i think that this means sometime in august is when they are going to really pick it up again...for people like me, my NOA1 was on July 10th...if i go by this data, my wait should be somewhere around 48 days, BUT i narrowed my research, and found the following for VSC 2006:

OK - where to start - I want to quote so many pages but as this thread has grown so much since I was on last night I am just going to try and remember things!!

The Lake House - great movie - I watched it with my OH as well - also has anyone seen the Notebook? I cried so hard at that it isn't even funny esp as I know that is how my OH loves me

My OH's dad thought when my OH was going to be here for a few months that I was going to report him to the police for beating me (which he doesn't) which I thought was weird. I was also petrified after our "failed" attempt at a relationship previously that my family would think it was a great big joke so I was pleasantly surprised although I think there may have been some scepticism at first. Saying that though it is understandable as our relationships aren't currently the norm although they are becoming more commonplace as people become more open minded

I get a lot of "ooh - California - how glamorous". If anyone has been to Cali and excluding the hyped up LA celebrity lifestyle they will know it isn't at all glam really and in fact LA is nothing short of a smog-ridden hell hole ;D Northern Cali is much prettier although I do love Palm Springs - they even have an English pub which I am yet to visit ;D There is also an amazing Thai place in Yucaipa called Papaya bay which does amazing curry

Babybluesusie - thank you so much for that timeline trend post - it has made me feel better as we are punching a time clock! Fingers crossed things will be speedy for us all - maybe we could find some way of plotting our future US locations on a map somewhere online (Maybe Google maps? Anyone have any ideas?) It would be great to see how close (or far!) we are all going to be and maybe when things are all sorted we could arrange a meet to share stories and have a laugh!? Just an idea!

Not to rain on your parade, but I just want to try to keep things as realistic here as possible...so, in 2006 when VSC processing times were much longer it was due to the IMBRA recall, when the backlog for that was caught up, they resumed their normal processing times. This year, you must bear in mind that they have added a whole new slew of states that VSC processes petitions for, so I wouldn't be surprised at all if VSC remains at a slower pace. I just don't think comparing processing times from VSC last year to this year is comparing apples to apples. The variables are very different.

I really don't want to be a downer, but I personally believe its best to expect for longer processing times and be pleasantly surprised if it ends up going quicker.
