FYI: Considering there are barely any progress (usually less than 10~) on weekends, I will skip Saturday scans in the future.

Funny that, I was looking forward to your scan ...
Saturdays have become RFE day (adding to the total number of RFEs that were observed on Friday's scan)

Guess I do a "test run" so I can see what and where they did any more RFEs

(case tracker app on phone suggested it wasn't near my case anyways)

(unofficial mini-scan) ...

Changes on February 18 2023 as compared to my scan on 2023_02_17 (Yesterday)
DEC 1-3:      RFE: 2   Untouched:75

DEC 6-10:    RFE: 3   Untouched:451
DEC 13-17:  RFE: 6     Denied: 1       Term\Withdrawn: 1   Untouched:467
DEC 20-24:  RFE: 9     Untouched:664
DEC 27-31:  Nothing Observed    Untouched:533

As usual, more RFEs (almost exclusively).

On a personal note just looking around my case for the last week activity (Spanning +/- 6 cases from mine) shows
Untouched = 4       RFE = 5      Approved = 1   (and 2 cases that were closed long ago)
Even just wishing even for an RFE at this point ....

I wish you the best @mw & rg k1 , hopefully they touch your case very soon. Out of curiosity, are you planning to continue the December scans after your approval? You don't have to obviously, but it would be sad to seen them go lol

Side note, but I found this interesting spreadsheet that's maintained by another applicant on reddit the other day. Not sure if it was posted here before, but here it is if anyone wants to have a look.

Yes, I will be continuing to scan well past inquiry date .... here is hoping @grumpypiggy does as well ...

As for that spreadsheet, yes it is interesting.  The one thing I can't say about it (and maybe you can track down its owner) is what they consider case processing:
I.e. if RFE turned into an RFER does that count as one?  If then approved does that count as another?

It also doesn't give any indication where they are working only the "count"  (or am I missing some other page in this data)
Looks like I missed the page of data ... still the first question remains about how they "count" activity

I see the 18th and 19th are missing here.  Is there a reason for that? When we look in the case track it says our case was filed on the 16th but when i log in it says the 18th. Is there a reason for that?

Plenty of posts to review to get your question answered from a number of perspectives.
The short answer, is the USCIS is totally inconsistent at this point in where they process and how many they process ...
It jumps all over the place.

This was last weeks "status" for opening cases that had never been touched before ...
As you can see, it is all over the place.

Check your date here (don't log in just use your case number)
https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do

If ... and I stress if it is actually Dec 18 or 19 as shown here, send me a DM and I will look into it.
Way too many people (even the USCIS itself) confuse receipt date with Notice Date.
My USCIS even shows two different dates depending if I log in or not.

Well.....I can't guarantee that I can post daily updates on time (GMT+8 zone) and every time. If I got busy or on travel, probably will miss several days of scan, but will try my best to catch up later when available.

I can look up what they include in processing maybe. I think I've asked before, I believe it's anything where a case changes (approval/rfe/denial). We don't usually count other or rfer.

They're scanning the full range. 2020-2023 or something like that

The spreadsheet includes closed cases (approvals, denials and withdrawals), while most of the daily scans on VJ includes touched cases (including RFEs, RFERs, etc.).

The spreadsheet is therefore a better prediction of a decrease in overall backlog. The problem is that it also includes backlog reductions that are located behind most of our cases (i.e. denials for Jan'23 filers). The estimated wait time is a great sheet for everybody who's interested in seeing how many cases (cases received, RFEs, etc.) are still "open" in front of them. I have seen a lot of people trying to get as close as possible to actively tracking the entirety of the USCIS backlog and this spreadsheet definitely comes closest. As this is a December forum, I do not think it makes much sense for you guys as you have users doing great charts to track that specific month.

I'd love to report that they processed tons of cases today..... but ....
The scan for today isn't very interesting (20 Feb 2023 Activity seen with my scan)

Changes on February 18 2023: 25 - One Denial and mostly RFEs
Changes on February 20 2023: 10

Dec 1-3       Monday (10 items)

Dec 6-10     3 RFEs  /   1 Withdrawal
Dec 13-17   1 RFE   /   2 Name Updates
Dec 20-24   1 RFE   /   1 Denial

Dec 27-31   1 RFE

So basically the same as Friday of last week ....
(plus a few RFEs seen on  Saturday reported before,
otherwise for december, nada.)

I'd say this is because yesterday the 20th was a federal holiday – Presidents' Day. They are supposed to be back to normal today.
