Hello all Visa Journey families,

I have a question so I have filed Petition for my father back in February 2019 and his case was approved November 2020 and It was send to Kabul Afghanistan US Embassy in March 2021 and since the shut down of US embassy in Kabul Afghanistan we have no idea where to transfer the case because Pakistan and Abu Dhabi do not process any immigrant visa case  that's been transferred from outside and we don't know which other country we should use I have been talking to NVC and they are just telling me to find the neighboring country that accept case transfer. does anyone know what what should I do?

My father is stuck in Afghanistan and he is really old and has no one around him to help him could someone please give me any idea what to do in which Neighboring country accept  case transfer?

Thank you in advance

I thought Islamabad was processing Afghan cases.

Any country can process Afghan IV cases. Couple steps for you - you need to get your father to a country he can get a visa to (obeying all entry requirements), contact your senator or congressperson's immigration aide to get a jump start on transferring the case to that country for processing.
Your father would still need to get any paperwork necessary for visa processing - so think originals/copies of birth certificate, medical records, and similar.

Thank you for the response but we have tried contacting senators and congressman but they said they can't help with transfer to another country and with Afghanistan situation there is no way for him to get out of the country without getting visa and it's not easy to get Visa for other neighboring counties. I was thinking about India but I'm not sure if India or even turkey does case transfer. I tried contacting them both via email and phone but I never get a clear response.

Well first you need to find which other Country he can travel to, pretty sure I have seen lots of TPC cases going through Turkey.

I have nothing to add to the other posters, sorry, but I'm sorry you and your dad are going through this, especially with the political turmoil in Afghanistan. :(

My case ready for Interview and I am currently in Kabul. I am also confused which neighboring country accepts and process Afghan interviews. Please let me know if you have managed to get information.
