I was wondering if anyone has successfully gotten a K1 visa appointment at the Ho Chi Minh consulate this month?

I paid the visa fee over a week ago, and I've been checking every day for new appointments every day. But US travel docs always says "No appointments available".

How long should I expect to wait for new appointments to open up?

Someone actually created a topic on their K1 interview experience in HCMC earlier. They had their interview today. Their NOA2 was January 2021 and the consulate received their case in April 2021. Seems like they’re backed up and you have several months wait ahead:

I hear ya.......we have been trying to get an appointment for (3) months now, it's just crazy. It's not like reserving a hotel room on some future trip where you an see month after month and simply pick a date, not even close. Your only allowed to login to check about setting up a date for your interview (3) times each day......if you login more than that, the system will lock you out for 2-3 days. Why does the US government care how many times you login to try and schedule an appointment? That should not matter.......but to them, it does. So to overcome this, groups of people (mainly women) have gotten together so setup a schedule where they have assigned one person to login at a given time, a minute later, another one will login and check, so on for (6) minutes......after (6) minutes, the first person will refresh their screen to check for an appointment date, another minute later, the second person will refresh her screen to check.......so on and so on for one hour. After an hour, another group of (6) takes over and does the same thing. If someone sees an appointment schedule, they will notify the other group members to login and hopefully get an interview date.

My fiance' belongs to a group that checks for interview dates from 7am to 5pm each day.......every minute of the day, and she has still not had any luck setting up an interview date either. She was able once to actually see that dates were shown.......but for some unknown reason, she was not able to select one before they were gone in seconds.

Setting up an actual interview date is a joke.......the consulate, the government should be ashamed of themselves for creating this broken system. Having to wait months just to setup (if you're lucky) an interview date is unacceptable. I can't imagine trying to setup a date all alone.........you will have better luck winning the lottery.

If anyone out there has any suggestions on how to get an interview date setup in Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam.........I would love to hear it. ANY help you can provide would be wonderful!!!!
