Heys all

In a couple of months the window for ROC is coming up so I am putting together the paperwork so would love any advice to make it smoother!

Married on July 2018 and immigrated on March 2020 after the approval of my visa.

So far what we have gathered

A) 3 bank accounts on both our names, the first is the main one for everyday expenses, second is a checking account I made years ago when I was visiting her (so only a few transactions since then) and the thirds is a savings one (so no activity just whatever there is in there).

For the 2nd and 3rd should I include every statement or that would be overkill? Specifically the one I made years ago should I include all statements since it's creation, since it has her name also on it, or just a few?

And for the savings one should I just include only some of the most recent ones?

B) IDs and Driver License showing our addresses

C) IRS transcript for 2020 filled jointly

D) A copy from the closing disclosure from the refinance of the house, that's the copy they gave us after we signed the original one that shows both our names in the end. Will they accept this as valid proof considering the deed is in her name and the papers are basically the extra copy they gave us? (meaning the copy they gave us doesn't have our signatures and such)

E) Various pictures from 2018 - 2021 for when she visited me in 2019 and when I finally arrived in 2020.

F) Working on getting a copy of our life insurance that shows both our names on it

Any ideas or advice? I don't drive so no car apart from the one she owns.

Thanks everyone so much!

Some more ideas (I’m also putting my package together):

Joint utilities

Utilities that each of you pay separately -help proof of shared residence.

Oh yeah totally forgot the utilities. Fortunately we had both our names added there after I arrived.

I have no clue where to add her though as an emergency contact that cam be considered proof.

I meant if you had been to the doctor during this time, they give you a sheet where you (could have) added her as an emergency contact.

Employer and/or doctor stuff where you list each other as emergency contacts.

Healthcare power of attorney

The closing disclosure you mention above won't be much good w/o signatures (though I'm confused why you'd both have to sign if only her name is on the deed, but that's a curiosity thing on my part.)  You could reach out to your atty or the title company for a fully executed copy.

Hmm I will see if the dentist and the doctor I went once can get me a copy of the records where they indicate the emergency contact.

From what I saw some banks have the spouse sign even if they are not on the deed and such for the closing disclosure.

Looks good so far.

I looked over my package and here are a couple of things I submitted which may or may not inspire you for other ideas:

* certified copy of marriage certificate

* copies of credit card bills (showing us both as authorized on each other's accounts)

* copies of HSA statements (health spending account, since we're both listed as authorized users)

* letter from State Farm showing auto insurance renewing (it was addressed to both of us and the summary lists us both as drivers and spouses)

* emergency contact info for my sons' schools, showing hubby as step father and emergency contact
