It’s been three months since my AOS interview and my status still “Interview was completed and my case must be reviewed” . I found out that my I-765 Application for Employment Authorization and I-131 Application for Travel Document have been Approved 5 days ago. i received the card today,

Can someone help me to understand please? I am freaking out! Why would they send me a work authorization and travel document now if my case was to be approved?

No reason to freak out.  Your I-485 is processed by your local office.  EADs are processed by the National Benefits Center.   Some people have gotten EADs after their Green Cards were approved.

Were there issues with your interview, or circumstances of adjusting?

none that i know of except that i was previously married to someone 21 years ago. My ex-wife  had petitioned for me and the case was denied. They did ask me about that during the interview which caught me by surprise cause i did not expect them to ask about my exwife whereabout. It has been over 21 years.

I was living in Haiti back then and my wife was in America. they did not believe the marriage was legit because i had a child with an other woman. however my wife moved back to Haiti  we stayed together for  15 years.

Okay.  I don't see how that alone would attract extra scrutiny.

You could try asking your senator's office for help with making an inquiry, or try to book an info pass, or ask for help from the ombudsman.  Three months post-interview seems excessive.

At least with your approved combo card you can now work.

I actually went through the Adjustment of Status 2 years ago with a somewhat similar experience of you. The officer conducted the interview and after the interview he handed us the paper saying "interview was completed and case needs further review". We were so worried and disheartened but after 1 year and 2 months we received a notice requiring us for a second interview. As far as the EAD card, I was able to renew it because I think it's a different entity and as long as your case is pending they will approve your ead card. You should know how you guys did during the interview if you think you've given enough evidence to convince the officer that your marriage/relationship is bonafide.
