Sorry for this silly question, but i want to check before sending my AOS package (i-130, I-130A, I-485, I-131, I-756). If i put evidences of bona fide marriage in the I-130 (photos, joint bank accounts and credit cards, insurance, memberships), shouldn't i double them and attach them to my I-485 too?

And other one question, I am going to change my phone and phone number next month, is there a problem that i mentioned my husbands phone number in all these forms?

Thank you!

I do not think it is necessary to double up the evidence of your marriage when you’re submitting the AOS inside the same package with the I-130.

Also I didn’t have my own cellphone until after I accessed my online account with USCIS. I was able to update my own number from my husband’s after. Not an issue.

All the best to you!

i also had the same confusion, i ended up, making a separate bundle, but will attach it with i-130 (as another sub part) because it seemed more suitable there.

As i saw usually people attached proofs of marriage (photos, bank accounts and etc.) only in I-130 form. Could you clarify please did you just attach these proofs to I-130 only, or to I-485 as well?

Hello,

Please follow the instructions on each form as each has unique requirements. According to USCIS, “unlike immigrant visa petition processing where the focus is on the relationship between the petitioner and beneficiary, the focus on an adjustment application is on the applicant’s eligibility and admissibility.”  The I-485 does not asks for proof of bonafide marriage.

See the USCIS policy manual for clarification and always follow the instructions on each form. If it does not ask for it, no reason to double it. Below lists the documentation requirements for I-485.

I only attach it to i-130. I just submit requested documents for i-485 such id, i-94 birth certificate copy etc.
