after the interview i heard if it is successful they give passport with visa stamp thru courier also give a sealed envelope

is the sealed envelope given the same day or thru courier ,

n what do v have to do with that sealed envelope n what is there in that envelope ?

I am not sure how they will give you the envelope but DO NOT OPEN IT.

You give that to the immigration official at the POE (Point of Entry) in the US when you enter. They open it and it contains pretty much contains paperwork from your visa process like the medical, etc.

The procedure for visa delivery varies with the Consulate but the passport with visa is not inside the sealed envelope. The envelope is to be opened at the POE. My wife's and daughter's were not. They made it all the way to my home with them. Not a good thing but solvable. They must have gotten a green officer at the POE. Anyway, make sure the envelope stays at the POE. If they don't ask for it, give it to them.

Hi,

In my country where I came from, the embassy there will stamp your passport and let you pay a corresponding courier fee. But it doesn't mean that you're approved or not. But if you're approved they don't give you immediately the packet that contains your documents nor let you pick it up. They will mailed it to you in your home town or to the address where you put in in the courier form to where you want it to be delivered. Don't attempt to open the sealed envelop because it will cause a HUGE problem in your port of entry in the US. Give it to the immigration officer cause he is the only one who has the authority to open it. Hope I help you.

The Embassy will give you clear instructions about the "mysterius" envelope. Of course, they will also instruct you how to deal with your passport with IV visa.
