My Wifes Nephew came to the States when he was 14 (He's 31 Now) and has a Green Card. His Mother Naturalized when he was 17 . From what I have been reading he can get his citizenship by filing a N 600 form. The issue is if he did a N 400 its a few hundred dollars cheaper. Can he file the N 400 and just go that Route or will they deny him and make him doo a N 600?

Kid is already a citizen. Go get his PP...way cheaper than N400 nor N600.

Infact, there's a guy here who got to N400 interview last week only to be told "No. You became a citizen when your parent naturalized. Sorry, can't N400 & no refund. Go apply for PP." He just posted a week or 2 ago.

Immigration journey is not: fast, for the faint at heart, easy, cheap, for the impatient nor right away. If more than 50% of this applies to you, best get off the bus.

The PP office knows.

Easy. Look at page 2 of DS11. It specifically talks about it

I actually went to the post office and spoke to a fellow who called their special Number for information on this and said his green Card, Birth Certificate with Moms name on it and her Naturalization Papers and a Photo copy of his Drivers License should take care of it. I'm a little leery of sending all those originals but oh well they've always sent all my stuff back to me . Thanks again everyone for your info on this. Saved a boatload of Cash.
