Hi I'm wondering if anyone has seen this before.

I received a status change email from USCIS stating:

"Your Case Status: Initial Review
As of August 23, 2021, we are actively reviewing your Form I130, PETITION FOR ALIEN RELATIVE, Receipt Number <redacted>. Our records show nothing is outstanding at this time. We will let you know if we need anything from you."

When I logged into our account, under the Documents tab, there is a new pdf called "I-130 Approval".  I downloaded it and it looks like a NOA2, since the top part looks like our NOA1 and it says things like "Notice Type: Approval Notice Section: Husband or wife of U.S Citizen, 201(b) INA" and "The above petition has been approved."

However, it still says "Case Is Being Actively Reviewed By USCIS" under our case status and when I contacted USCIS via Ask Emma, the agent said they were still reviewing my case.  Has anyone seen something like this before where the case is being reviewed, but official documents say it's approved?

Hello! I could be totally wrong but I read a couple of threads about this not to long ago. And some people were saying that sometimes the NOA2 approval appears in the documents folder before the status is updated. Meaning your case is technically approved they just might need a day or two to officially update the status. So I hope it updates soon!!!!

USCIS has been known to update case status in a less than timely fashion.  Nothing to worry about in your case.  Congratulations on the petition approval!

We see the same under our documents tab, but have not received an email indicating that our case has been approved. How long did it take for your status to change on the website or to receive an email?

Congrats on the approval!

Hello did you get any text at all indicating an approval or every time you check your case status you see actively reviewing?

Congrats on the approval!

It took another 2 days for it to change officially online and for us to get the approval email. Once you have see the letter in your documents, I think the petition has already been approved!

A couple days after seeing the status change and the document, the website changed to show approved and I got an email saying the same thing. It appears that once the letter shows up under your documents, you will be approved.
