I also contact them, but I haven't heard anything back. I hope you will receive the oath ceremony letter soon. I have calculated that it has been past 5.5 months for you, so I think you may hear it soon (based on the case we discussed before). And then I hope I can hear mine after yours two weeks later.  Let's keep updating the good news. Blessings!

My status finally updated this morning, I cannot believe it. My case is just like the case we discussed. Waiting for 5.5 months since interview, 8th floor. My filing date was March 2020.

I’ve tried to contact the local office, senator, congressman, and Ombudsman; filed an online inquiry; wrote to the White House, but I haven’t heard anything back. Maybe they are still in the process now.

It’s finally our turn. Almost there. Blessings.

Oath Ceremony Will Be Scheduled

We placed you in line for your oath ceremony and will send you a notice for Receipt Number XXXX, with the date, time, and location of your oath ceremony. You should receive your notice within 30 days of its mailing date. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

Wow, CONGRATULATIONS @Moradesk!!! What a pleasant surprise.  So, if your filing date was March 2020 it means it took more than 19 months... what a journey.  Happy for you, let us know when you get the oath date.

Still waiting for mine, I am at about 6 months since interview.

Thank you brother. I believe yours is on the way now, and will come soon. The case we discussed was on the same floor as mine (8th floor). Yours is on the 6th floor, maybe it just needs a little longer time, but it will come soon. Our interview dates are very close, and in the same building. Blessings!

Plus, her case was filing in September 2020 and mine was in March 2020, but she got the interview before me and oath before me two months although we are on the same floor, same office. So I think the filing date is not an issue. Yours will definitely come soon. Looking forward to hearing your good news.

Thank you so much Coco&Kitten. Yes, I will share my oath date when I receive the notice. I hope you will hear yours soon. 6 months since the interview means almost there, just need a little time. God Blesses!

Just want to share the oath ceremony process. I went to the ceremony today. Because it was raining today, we had our oath on the first floor in door. It was a very quick process. The oath was 8:30 am, and the notice said do not arrive more than 30 minutes prior to the ceremony, so I arrived at 8:10 am.

First, security check.

Second, I was asked to be in line and to show the notice letter and green card. The clerk asked me 8 yes-no questions on page 4 of the notice (I already filled out them.). Then she stapled my GC and the notice and returned back to me. Also, she gave me a small envelope.

Then, she asked me to go to the oath area. Then an officer came to lead our oath. He asked us to take out an oath card from the small envelope, and raised our right hands. Then we repeated oath after him. After finishing, he said congratulations.

After that, we went on another line. We submitted the stapled GC and the notice to a clerk, and then we got our certificates from her and one name change proof note (if you have a name change). She asked us to check if something is incorrect on the certificate. If everything is fine, we can leave.

The oath was 8:30 am, and I left the building at 8:45 am. If adding other waiting time before the oath, I think 25-30 minutes for a total process. Plus, the notice said Face Masks are required.

Next is your turn,  and it will come very soon, good luck. Blessings.

Thank you. I even did not receive the oath ceremony letter by physical mail. 😂 It is still on the way. I printed it by myself. Also, I 100% understand your feelings because my journey is exact 19 months. A guy went to interview with me in the same day and same building. His ceremony was May 24,  but mine was Oct. 25. I was so depressed while waiting at the earlier months. But finally I realize, just be patient, enjoy our regular life, and everything will be fine. It will suddenly happen and surprise you. 😂

  • 3 weeks later...

I've a DUI on my record which was expunged. Waiting for N400 interview to be scheduled. I'm not sure how the 5 year wait/good moral character plays out. As I applied within 3 years of my offense date and I'm divorced from US citizen!
