Yes, the medical exam is always required! You have to bring it when you enter the U.S.

 

Great, good luck! Let us know if they still do the exams, I'll need to go there again soon as well.

That's most unfortunate that this is the current situation. How can Lisbon not have a certified doctor is beyond me... I guess Paris it is!

Wanted to give an update to any and everyone following this thread that lives in Portugal.

There is now a new clinic that does the exam again - its the same doctor - just a different clinic now!!

We also finally got our interview date!

 

DQ: October 5th 2023

Interview letter: December 26th 2023

Interview date: February 7th 2024

Hi everyone. Update on this thread:

DQ: 12/09/2023

Interview date: 22/11/2023

Package with visa received on: 29/11/2023

Moved: 03/12/2023

SSN: 15/12/2023

Green card: 03/01/2024

 

I still have no idea why I received the SSN first but this is the timeline to I have from my DQ to receive my greencard. Good luck to everyone 😃

Wow, I just went though your timeline and I'm shocked! You got married in April 2023 and moved to the US in December? That has to be one of the fastest case approvals of the past few years, congratulations!

Thank you Rita! We found out recently that was probably because of my husband’s strong security clearance, since he works at special forces. Don’t know for a fact but we didn’t expedited it at all.
