There is a step where you can file a writ of mandamus if your case is outside the processing times. You can Google it for more information.

I already filed a case outside processing window did not hear anything back. Tried to expedite the process due to a medical condition and got it denied last week.

Called a few times and they said there is nothing else that can be done. It is just very disappointing to hear people applied several months after and already had it approved and we are still waiting =(

But if that is not writ of mandamus, you will really not get a feedback. It has to be a mandamus.

I am a November filler, but NOA was issued on December 2nd and it is in TX lockbox. It's going to hit the 8th month and no updates so far. Based on the processing timeline on the website, they started reviewing September cases. I pray i'll get good news in a month or so.

Filed I-130 end of Dec for IR2. Went through Nebraska.  Interview in 2 weeks! 😄

Congratulations! I am jealous. Lol.

My son is petitioned by my USC husband in October 2020. Nebraska Center

No update yet. Wish me luck! 😀

Did you call them to check on your son's case?

Yup. No updates yet.

Let me also correct myself - our case is in Texas.

Wow, that was fast. When was your i130 approved?

We were approved April 23.  There was a glitch in the system at NVC which delayed us by 3 weeks. Once submitted, NVC took about 5 weeks, then 2 weeks from there to schedule the interview.

Is your son under 21?  If so, I would call the help center to check on your case. Currently, you can make an inquiry on anything prior to Dec 25, 2020

Well yesterday we had a sweet surprise although nothing was updated on USCIS website we got a letter in the mail with my mother's biometrics appointment for the I-765/I-485 combo. We had requested to expedite about 20 days ago for medical reasons but have not heard back on a decision and differently than I-130 that got denied right away we actually got that request approved. I am not sure what happens after she completes biometrics and don't know the impact on the I-130 process but at least that is something!

No sorry, I corrected myself in the other post!, ours is in Texas, not Nebraska. Son is under 21.

  • 2 weeks later...

Someone just posted on Facebook community page. This just made my cry so hard. It's not fair. It's like playing the lottery, takes a lot of luck. I'm sorry, just going through a lot of things right now and this rant is nonsense, just sharing my frustration when I filed October last year and no response yet.
