Hi,

I entered the US with spousal based greencard (CR1) in March, i.e. I am permanent resident.

But I still have not received my physical greencard (and it's still in progress, the 120 day limit will be met next week).

I will be traveling in a few days (i.e., my physical greencard won't arrive before that).

is there anything that I need or take care of, except my passport (which has the visa stamp and the stamp included)?

To my understanding, this should still act as a temporary greencard but I want to make sure not facing any surprises at the border when I re-enter.

Thanks!

Your passport with endorsed immigrant visa functions as your green card until the plastic one arrives.  That is all you need to re-enter the US.  Have a good trip.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

As noted you are safe to travel. However, not all airline personnel understand the long litany of documents a lawful permanent resident can use to legally board an aircraft to the USA.

Permanent residents (and Advance Parolees)  traveling with anything besides an unexpired green card should print and read https://www.cbp.gov/sites/default/files/assets/documents/2019-Mar/2019 Carrier Information Guide - ENGLISH.pdf . This is the document airlines are supposed to adhere to. In this document you will find confirmation that that passport with the endorsed visa is a valid alternative I-551 for travel. Should you get push back, you can show the airline this document.
