Move other state without Green Card

Timeline

I arrived Puerto Rico on May 1st 2021 IR1 visa. I got my social security card but still waiting for Green card. I have opportunity from US mainland means other state. Can I go without green Card?

Your IR1 visa with CBP stamp serves as your green card for 1 year from the date of your US entry.  So you actually have a GC already, even if it is not the plastic one.  Make sure you always have your passport with IR1 visa on hand until you get your plastic GC.  Also, when you move, remember to file the AR-11 change of address with USCIS.

This information on Port of Entry Homeland Security officer told me. You can be work on this stamp 1 year. It's mean if not receive Green card until move then address change must. Then my Plastic green card will be come new address.

Correct. But they need to know the new address to send the plastic card there. So you need to complete firm AR-11 to change your address on your file with USCIS. There is no charge for this form.

Married: September 27, 2014

I-130 filed: February 5, 2016

NOA1: February 8, 2016 Nebraska

NOA2: July 21, 2016

Interview: December 6, 2016 London

POE: December 19, 2016 Las Vegas

N-400 filed: September 30, 2019

Interview: March 22, 2021 Seattle

Oath: March 22, 2021 COVID-style same-day oath

 

Now a US citizen!

I am moving first other state when settle there then wife will be join in 2 to 3 months. This is bad sigh without wife move?

Yes for work purpose because in Puerto Rico first language is Spanish and job get so hard without Spanish speaking.

Just a note that I moved while waiting for my GC and filed the AR-11 with each individual petition number and it STILL got sent to my old address.

I shall be change address online USCIS account or by mail send them AR-11 form?
