Hello,

My husband applied my I-130 on 25 Feb 2020 and we have not received anything yet. He is a permanent resident there. Our Service Centre is VSC. Does anybody have any idea why its taking so long and is it even normal to have this silence from USCIS? What should we do?

Spouse of PR takes a while in my opinion. It could help the case if he can apply for citizenship so that he could upgrade your application.

Unfortunately VSC has a very lengthy processing times, 17-22 months for your category, so you just have to wait a bit more. It's even slower for USC's i130 for spouse at present.

Spouse:

2015-06-16: I-130 Sent

2015-08-17: I-130 approved

2015-09-23: NVC received file

2015-10-05: NVC assigned Case number, Invoice ID & Beneficiary ID

2016-06-30: DS-261 completed, AOS Fee Paid, WL received

2016-07-05: Received IV invoice, IV Fee Paid

2016-07-06: DS-260 Submitted

2016-07-07: AOS and IV Package mailed

2016-07-08: NVC Scan

2016-08-08: Case Complete

2017-06-30: Interview, approved

2017-07-04: Visa in hand

2017-08-01: Entry to US

If your husband is a PR, then your category is F2A, not CR1/IR1.  You might get a better indication of processing times from checking other F2A progress threads over at the Family of PR sub-forum here on VJ -- https://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/112-bringing-family-members-of-permanent-residents-to-america/

Tell your husband to come live with you. I also filed in Feb 2020 and haven't heard anything back. Seems they like to do this to people from certain countries.

Immigration process is a joke here in the US. It's going to be a long time before you're reunited.

Yeah, he comes whenever he manages to get leaves. The wait time is just so frustrating...
