Question for those still in UK: Work situation?

If you or your partner are still in the UK, what is your current (June 2021) work status? Is it go into work, work from home, furloughed with some pay? I see the official government sources still say work from home if possible. I don’t really have a grasp of what is going on except for my grown kids...one working from home and the other unemployed because it was in the hospitality/catering sector that had no need for all their staff during lockdowns. Someone has recently asked her to assistant manage their posh shop in Oxford which will be onsite work.

Not sure mine is the best representation here. I work in IT. We’ve been WFH since two weeks before Lockdown 1.0. Our new marching orders are from July 1st, everyone within commuting distance (50 miles) is 60/40 office and WFH. The UK is pushing hard to open back up. I’d say, if she hasn’t already, take the work. My friends who’ve been furloughed said the most frustrating thing was the boredom.

I listen to the BBC and Restaurants/Pubs etc are suffering big time due to worker shortage.

My current status is going into work, I think it's mainly office jobs here in the UK which are mostly doing work from home.

Fiancé works in logistics. He’s at work.

I am a contractor in IT so I work from home most of the time with once a week trips to the office.  My current contract looks like it'll be extended another month in to Oct which is nice because it doesn't look like I'll get an embassy appointment until Sept/Oct.
